It is 2010! And here I am, having ended 2009 as such a silent wordpresser, feeling like it’s a good time to get my act together. Not only is it a new year, today is my first official day as a non-retail worker. Because of this, I have gained an entire day every week, and this calls for so much celebration. I need to use this time wisely, and the wisest thing to do is to spend it doing all of the fun things I did before I worked all of the time. Read! Write! Craft! Sleep! Be a friend! TRY NEW THINGS! This last thing calls for a list, a new list! I am going to start a new list, and I’m going to really work on it, and it’s going to be fun, and I’m going to be happy!

24 Things To Do Before Turning 24! (rough draft)

  1. Finish reading Four Corners
  2. Make the book club happen
  3. Bake at least once a month
  4. Be a good tender of my TaterPot*
  5. Visit all four corners of Washington
  6. Read Infinite Jest
  7. Make a second sock puppet
  8. Make more costumes
  9. Eat a whole lot of vegetables

It is a humble beginning, but I’ll be adding more. By the way, I’m having a(n early) Weezer sing-a-long for the second night in a row right now, and it feels so good.

KATIE, YOU BLOGGED!!!! I love reading things you write. I’m so happy that you have more time for yourself now (and for us)!

What are you going to visit in SE Washington???? What is even over there (besides Idaho and Oregon)? Oh, I just gmapped it, and it looks like you’ll be going to Chief Joseph State Wildlife Recreation Area. I hope it’s nice!

I can’t wait to talk about Four Corners with you! That lady is crazytown!

Wonderful new list for a wonderful new year! And congrats on gaining an extra day a week — it really is so valuable!!! Also:

Can you please bring the taterpot everywhere with you and take pictures of him frivolously?
